What identity verification means for buyers and sellers.
To keep auctions serious and secure, everyone verifies their identity, usually via SwissID. This confirms you are who you say you are before you bid, sell or download legal documents.
Sellers must be verified before a listing goes live; buyers before they can bid and place a deposit. Depending on the amount, anti-money-laundering (AML) checks may also apply.
This layer of trust is why sellers deal only with genuine, able buyers — and why buyers know exactly who they're dealing with.
